Color

Set the color of selected text from your theme palette, a preset, or a specific value.

Color picks out a word or phrase, like a warning, a piece of emphasis, a label. Use it sparingly: text that is mostly the default color is easier to read, and the exceptions stand out more.

The Color control, opened from the inline toolbar.

Change the color of text

  1. Select the text you want to color. The Color control stays greyed out until you do — it acts on a selection, not the whole block.

  2. Open the Color control.

  3. Pick a color.

What it is

Theme colors

The palette generated from your Portal's own colors.

Preset colors

A fixed set of general-purpose colors.

A specific value

Type a HEX code, or pick from the color field and hue slider.

Prefer Theme colors. They keep your text consistent with the rest of the Portal, and they follow it if you change your theme later, a fixed HEX value won't.

Reset to the default

Select Reset in the color picker to return the text to its default color.
