# Sections

After creating a custom page, you must add sections to get started.

The following types of sections can be found in Portals:

* Favorites
* Banner
* Blog
* Call to Action
* Categories
* Color Palette
* Header
* Hero
* Icons & Logos
* Incentives
* Info Panel
* Media
* Release Notes
* Reviews
* Search
* Steps
* Text

Once you select a Section, you can change the variants by clicking on the top left-hand corner of the Section and inverting its colors.

Once a section is added, on the top right-hand corner, you can add a background image or color, adjust the section settings, and manage the section (clone, delete, favorite, etc.)

# Agent Instructions: Querying This Documentation

If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.scaleflex.com/portals/editing-a-portal/sections.md?ask=<question>
```

The question should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
